Expected outcomes of the course:
To explore various forms of pair bonding that includes marriage, family and cohabitation. To help students identify partners with whom they may have a higher probability of durable relationship; in contrast, to identify a partner with whom there is a lower probability of a durable and happy relationship.
To examine events that occur in marriage and family across the life cycles and across cultures including hanging out, hooking up, dating, mate selection, marriage, balancing work/family life, becoming a parent, rearing children, divorce, remarriage, coping with crisis, widowhood, aging, and death.
